About the Role

Boston Diamond Company is seeking a polished, personable, and highly organized professional to oversee client relations and support the daily operations of their appointment-only fine jewelry boutique. As the first point of contact, you will play an essential role in representing the company, requiring exceptional written and verbal communication, refined professional presentation, sound judgment, and a passion for five-star client service. You will work closely with the Founder & CEO in a small, dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relations & Hospitality

  • Write exceptionally polished, warm, and professional client correspondence.
  • Coordinate consultations, appointments, and ongoing client scheduling.
  • Personally welcome clients and provide attentive, sophisticated hospitality.
  • Maintain thoughtful communication throughout the client experience.
  • Proactively manage follow ups, client requests, and outstanding details.
  • Handle sensitive client situations with discretion, empathy, and sound judgment.

Boutique Operations & Administration

  • Independently coordinate daily boutique operations and administrative responsibilities.
  • Manage client records and internal tracking systems.
  • Coordinate client services.
  • Oversee administrative follow ups & scheduling details.
  • Assist with transactions, documentation, and general business administration.
  • Work closely with the Founder & CEO to execute client-related priorities and ensure timely follow-through.

Digital & Brand Support

  • Capture and organize photography and video for client communication and digital use.
  • Maintain product information, images, and listings across digital platforms.
  • Assist with website content, product updates, and digital organization.
  • Support social media content creation and other marketing initiatives as needed.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Prior experience in luxury retail, fine jewelry, high-end hospitality, private client services, or a comparable premium client-facing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to correspond independently in a warm, refined, and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain elevated professional presentation, grooming, and hospitality standards appropriate for a luxury boutique.
  • Experience personally managing client relationships, correspondence, appointments, and administrative follow-ups.
  • Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proactive, resourceful, dependable, and comfortable taking initiative without constant direction.
  • Receptive to constructive feedback, adaptable, and committed to maintaining consistent company standards.
  • Comfortable working directly with the founder in a small, hands-on team.
  • Proficient with everyday business technology and comfortable learning new digital platforms.
  • Experience with e-commerce, CRM systems, photography, or digital content is a plus.
  • Must currently reside within commuting distance of Boston.

Qualifications

  • Location: Boston, MA
  • Schedule: Full-time, in-person. Five working days per week, approximately 40 hours. Includes two Saturdays per month, with a weekday off in their place. Boutique hours: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with additional time for operational tasks.
  • Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 Annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Benefits: Paid time off and holidays, health insurance benefits.
  • The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys building client relationships, takes pride in delivering exceptional service, and understands the level of professionalism expected in a luxury environment.
  • Values excellent judgment, initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
