About the Role
This is an entry-level position for an Ultrasound Probe Repair Technician I at a Placentia, CA on-site depot facility. The role focuses on extending the life of diagnostic equipment through precision technical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cosmetic repairs, basic cleaning, and entry-level restoration on ultrasound transducers following written work instructions.
- Develop foundational knowledge of probe anatomy, failure modes, and precision repair techniques.
- Follow documented procedures precisely to ensure repaired imaging equipment meets safety and performance standards.
- Progress through a structured technician career ladder.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with experience in precision, detail-oriented, hands-on work.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to accurately follow complex written procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical/vocational training in electronics or biomedical equipment technology is strongly preferred.
- Associate degree or certificate in Biomedical Equipment Technology (BMET), Electronics, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Any prior exposure to ultrasound equipment, medical devices, or regulated technical repair environments is preferred.
