The Steward role at Gnosis Food Ventures is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The steward will assist with daily food service operations, including setting up dining areas, replenishing supplies, and supporting serving staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
• Handling dishwashing and basic cleaning tasks.
• Ensuring that hygiene and safety standards are followed at all times.
• Interacting with guests courteously.
• Responding to simple requests.
• Coordinating with the kitchen and service team to support smooth operations during peak hours.
• Working in shifts.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Following instructions from supervisors to achieve consistent service quality.

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact respectfully and professionally with guests and team members.
• Knowledge of Food & Beverage and Food Service operations, including basic hygiene, serving protocols, and handling of equipment.
• Ability to participate in Training activities and apply standard operating procedures in day-to-day work.
• Prior experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is beneficial.
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, with reliability and punctuality.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills to follow instructions and record simple information.
• Attention to detail.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks.
• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety.
