About the Role
The Nurse Extern - Progressive Care role involves providing patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position is essential in assisting the nursing team, responding to emergent situations, and ensuring high-quality care while advancing nursing education.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs under RN supervision.
- Provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
- Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
- Participate in continuing education to enhance your nursing skills and knowledge.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent OR currently enrolled in the Henry Ford Health Early College Program with completion of two clinical rotations.
- Enrolled in an accredited school of nursing with completion of two clinical rotations, including one in Med/Surg (acute care setting).
- Current Health Care Provider Certification.
