Operations Associate

About the Role

Sovos is seeking an Operations Associate to serve as a trusted client resource, guiding them through tax compliance. This role involves coordinating data workflows, ensuring timely regulatory submissions, and assisting clients with software utilization, all while building a career in tax technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform client tasks within the application, including mapping and importing data, creating print files, and generating transmittal files.
• Adhere to all client deadlines to ensure timely and accurate regulatory requirement fulfillment.
• Import and reconcile data based on client needs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Document client-specific requirements clearly to maintain service continuity and quality.
• Provide client training on effective use of the software solution.
• Submit remittances to federal and state agencies in a timely and accurate manner.
• Identify process improvements and suggest efficiencies for internal workflows and risk reduction, leveraging AI tools where appropriate.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency with computer software.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong customer service skills, with an emphasis on listening and documenting client needs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Openness to using AI-assisted workflows and tools for improved efficiency and accuracy.
• Successful candidates will be required to clear a background check and drug test upon hire due to client contractual obligations.
