Video Editor Intern

About the Role

The Video Editor Intern role is a remote internship focused on supporting Laneway’s media and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in editing and assembling video content for social media, marketing campaigns, and internal projects.
• Ensure alignment with brand guidelines and project objectives.
• Organize raw footage.
• Apply basic color correction.
• Trim clips.
• Add transitions.
• Incorporate motion graphics or text overlays as needed.
• Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to refine concepts and adjust edits based on feedback.
• Prepare videos for various digital platforms and formats.
• May involve basic graphic support.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop engaging visual content.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Familiarity with common editing software.
• Ability to perform Video Color Grading and basic post-production adjustments.
• Skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for creating simple animations, titles, and visual elements.
• Understanding of file formats, aspect ratios, and export settings for online platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Video Production and Video Editing.
• Attention to detail, creativity, and an understanding of visual storytelling for digital and social media content.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote, fast-paced environment.
• Current student or recent graduate in film, media, design, communications, or a related field is preferred.
• Portfolio or sample work demonstrating video editing and motion graphics capabilities is highly beneficial.
