Data Analyst

About the Role

Seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate Data Analyst to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will assist in collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data to support business decisions. This role is suitable for individuals with a strong analytical mindset, basic technical skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in a data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate, and organize data from multiple sources.
• Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Use SQL queries to retrieve, filter, and manipulate data.
• Work with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
• Assist in developing dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
• Perform data quality checks and resolve inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements.
• Document data processes, analysis findings, and reporting procedures.
• Support senior analysts and management with ad hoc data requests.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Basic knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
• Familiarity with database concepts and reporting tools.
• Exposure to business intelligence, KPI reporting, or dashboard development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of data cleaning, data validation, and basic statistical concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
• Experience working with large datasets or business reports through academic projects, internships, or previous employment.
