About the Role

The Associate will support litigation and defense matters, including criminal, white-collar, civil, and administrative cases. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Scottsdale, AZ.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal research
• Drafting motions and pleadings
• Preparing memoranda
• Reviewing discovery
• Assisting with case strategy and trial preparation
• Communicating with clients
• Participating in meetings and hearings
• Coordinating with opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Arizona Bar or eligibility for prompt admission

Qualifications

• Strong legal research and writing skills, including drafting briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Experience or coursework in criminal law, white-collar defense, and/or complex commercial litigation.
• Ability to analyze complex facts, develop legal strategies, and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Excellent oral communication skills for client interactions, negotiations, and court appearances.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing documents, deadlines, and discovery.
• Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a small firm setting and adapt to a hybrid in-office/remote schedule.
