Agency Development Manager

About the Role

The Agency Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City, focused on building and managing a high-performing life insurance agency network. This role involves recruiting, onboarding, and developing agency partners and advisors to achieve sales, productivity, and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver training and coaching interventions.
• Monitor performance metrics.
• Support partners in need-based selling and compliant servicing practices.
• Conduct field visits and joint calls.
• Perform pipeline and activity reviews.
• Collaborate with internal sales, product, and operations teams.
• Prepare regular reports and forecasts.
• Implement local business development initiatives aligned with company strategy.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Agency development and sales management skills, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of advisors and partners.
• Experience in life insurance or financial services.
• Familiarity with protection and long-term savings products and need-based selling.
• Capability in training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Proficiency in relationship management, stakeholder coordination, and customer-centric service delivery.
• Solid analytical, planning, and reporting skills, including comfort with sales dashboards, targets, and forecasting.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities, with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in an on-site, field-intensive role in Pune City, with flexibility to travel within the region as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field.
• A postgraduate degree or relevant certifications in insurance or sales management are an advantage.
• Preference: Local candidate from Pune (Shivajinagar).
• Preference: Fresher only.
• Preference: Life Insurance candidate highly preferable.
• Preference: Immediate joiner.
