About the Role
Founded in 2002, Tanner Pharma Group is a specialty service provider in the biopharmaceutical industry focused on improving patient access to medicines on a global basis. Tanner Pharma offers its biopharmaceutical partners a portfolio of four distinct service offerings that span the product lifecycle from clinical development to commercialization. With its global headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina and offices in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Ireland, Tanner Pharma is in a phase of rapid growth.
As Project Executive, you will coordinate the planning and delivery of TannerGAP projects under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager. You will manage day-to-day project activities and align internal resources with the needs of external partners. From project start through completion, you will also track progress, gather market insights, and ensure project deliverables are completed. You will serve as an additional point of support for assigned projects, learning to maintain a clear understanding of each project’s scope, status, risks, and next steps. You will also support the Sales and Business Development Teams with project-related tasks, market research, and assigned project-based activities, which may include assisting with a small portfolio of accounts, providing quote support, or helping with project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Delivery
- Own execution of assigned project workstreams and deliverables, translating agreed objectives into tasks, owners, dependencies, and completion criteria with the Senior Project Manager.
- Maintain and actively use project plans to review progress at least weekly, validate upcoming milestones, follow up on outstanding actions, and identify tasks that need intervention.
- Coordinate internal teams and external partners/marketing authorization holders to resolve dependencies, secure required inputs, and advance deliverables through agreed completion checkpoints.
- Assess risks, issues, and proposed changes throughout execution; resolve routine issues within agreed authority and escalate decisions to the Senior Project Manager with recommended actions and delivery implications.
Account & Operational Management
- Use account and project records to identify outstanding commitments, execution gaps, and required follow-up; maintain accurate records as part of delivery ownership.
- Drive assigned project-related requests, referrals, orders, and operational activities from initiation through completion, coordinating handoffs and addressing delays within established processes.
- Review assigned account service commitments and project requirements regularly, identify delivery gaps, and coordinate corrective actions with the responsible teams.
- Develop inputs for project-related quotes by clarifying requirements, coordinating feasibility and pricing inputs, and tracking approvals and resulting execution actions; escalate commercial commitments for approval.
Reporting, Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Review milestone progress, action closure, and delivery risks at least weekly using approved tools; identify variances and recommend practical recovery actions.
- Analyze project, account, and relevant sales data to identify execution bottlenecks and improvement opportunities; translate findings into recommendations and agreed follow-up actions.
- Provide regular, decision-focused updates to the Senior Project Manager and stakeholders, highlighting completed deliverables, upcoming priorities, blockers, and decisions needed.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate project working sessions and progress reviews, preparing the inputs needed to resolve issues and recording decisions, owners, and due dates; follow actions through to closure.
- Work with Sales, Business Development, Operations, Quality, and Finance to resolve cross-functional dependencies and execute agreed project actions.
- Confirm stakeholder alignment on deliverables, responsibilities, and next steps; proactively address unclear requirements and escalate unresolved conflicts that affect execution.
Market & Business Intelligence
- Conduct targeted research on industry trends, competitive activity, pricing, and market developments to answer specific questions relevant to assigned projects.
- Translate research into actionable project recommendations, such as delivery options, customer requirements, or market considerations, for review with the Senior Project Manager.
- Assess potential opportunities relevant to assigned projects and coordinate agreed next steps with Sales and Business Development; track resulting actions and outcomes.
Professional Development & Additional Responsibilities
- Develop project management skills through mentorship and hands-on ownership of assigned workstreams; apply feedback to planning, issue resolution, and delivery.
