About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Guest Service & Barista role based in Pune City at 729 Grams Coffee Roasters, an upcoming coffee roasting startup opening its first café.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee and café beverages to guests.
- Follow established recipes and quality standards.
- Welcome guests, take orders, and handle payments.
- Ensure a warm, attentive service experience.
- Assist with food preparation for baked items.
- Maintain cleanliness in the café.
- Ensure equipment and work areas are organized and safe.
- Learn about coffee beans and brew methods.
- Share product knowledge with guests.
- Support colleagues during busy service hours.
Qualifications & Skills
- Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills
- Barista Skills, including basic knowledge of espresso equipment, brewing methods, and beverage preparation.
- Clear Communication Skills.
- Food Preparation Skills, including hygiene and safety standards.
- Basic numeracy and cash-handling ability.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and inclusive workspace.
Prior experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is an advantage but not mandatory.
