Business Development Specialist
Magdox Private Limited
About MAGDOX
MAGDOX Private Limited is an early-stage cybersecurity startup based in India. We build FDIE (Firmware Delta Intelligence Engine), a platform that checks the firmware inside connected devices such as cameras, routers, and IoT products for security problems. It helps device makers find and fix issues before a security test lab, a tender, or a customer finds them, and prepare the evidence those reviews ask for. We serve device makers in India, Europe, the UK, and the US. FDIE runs in three regions: India, the EU, and the US, and each customer chooses where its data is kept.
The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to help us find and win our first customers. This is a full-time, remote role based in India. As a small team, we need someone who takes initiative, is comfortable taking ownership, and is ready to take on new challenges as we grow.
What You Will Do
- Identify and research potential customers: camera, router, and IoT device makers in India and abroad, and partners such as system integrators and test labs
- Reach out to leads through LinkedIn, email, calls, and networking, including industry events
- Follow up with prospects, schedule meetings, and move conversations forward
- Prepare proposals and presentations with support from our technical team
- Use AI tools every day to research companies, draft emails and proposals, summarize calls, and automate repetitive work
- Track leads in our CRM and share regular progress updates
- Share ideas on how we can reach new markets and partners
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles is a plus, not a requirement: freshers are welcome.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken (Hindi or another Indian language is a plus)
- Hands-on use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini in your work or studies: you know how to ask them good questions and check their answers. Experience automating tasks with AI is a plus.
- A proactive, self-driven attitude and the ability to work independently
- Interest in technology or cybersecurity (we will help you learn the product and the market)
We value skills, attitude, and results over formal degrees or years of experience. Freshers and experienced candidates are equally welcome to apply.
Work Setup
This is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) role: we do not provide a laptop. You will need:
- Your own laptop (Windows, macOS, or Linux) that can run a modern browser and video calls
- A smartphone for two-step sign-in
- A reliable internet connection
We provide your company email and the tools you need for the job. As a security company, we will ask you to keep your laptop updated, use a screen lock, and protect company data on it.
Why Join Us
- Hands-on experience in the growing cybersecurity industry
- Learn to sell with AI: real, daily use of AI tools in sales, not just training
- Work closely with a small, supportive team where your work is visible
- Opportunity to grow with the company as we scale
