About the Role
We are looking for a curious and driven Software Engineer Intern who enjoys solving engineering problems and building real-world software products. You will work closely with our founding and engineering team to design, develop, and improve different components of our AI Governance platform. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will contribute to actual product development, work with modern technologies, and gain exposure to the challenges of building scalable enterprise software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services, APIs, and application features.
- Build responsive and intuitive frontend interfaces for enterprise applications.
- Work on distributed systems, asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures, and data pipelines.
- Develop integrations with external platforms, cloud services, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Explore and implement LLM-powered features, AI agents, and intelligent automation workflows.
- Build systems involving AI discovery, security monitoring, risk assessment, and compliance automation.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
- Debug performance issues and contribute to improving system reliability and scalability.
- Participate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, and code reviews.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong programming fundamentals in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Good understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with backend development, REST APIs, and application architecture.
- Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with Git, Linux, and software development workflows.
- Ability to write readable, maintainable, and well-structured code.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Python (FastAPI) or Node.js for backend development.
- Familiarity with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Exposure to PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or OpenSearch.
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud infrastructure.
- Exposure to LLMs, RAG pipelines, AI agents, or machine learning applications.
- Personal projects, open-source contributions, or experience building and deploying applications.
What You'll Get
- Work on a real-world enterprise AI product from the ground up.
- Hands-on experience with production-grade systems and modern engineering architectures.
- Opportunity to work across backend, frontend, AI, and infrastructure.
- Direct mentorship and collaboration with the founding engineering team.
- Exposure to distributed systems, enterprise security, and AI governance.
- Opportunity to take ownership of meaningful engineering problems and see your work make it into production.
Who Should Apply?
Students or recent graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields who are passionate about software engineering and enjoy building things. We value problem-solving ability, strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity, and ownership more than the number of technologies listed on a resume.
