About the Role
Phoenix Business Initiatives (PBI) is a growing services organization focused on delivering high-quality business solutions to clients in the United States. The AR Callers/Analyst role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to insurance companies and other payers to follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
- Resolve claim issues.
- Analyze claim status.
- Identify reasons for denials or delays.
- Update billing systems with accurate information and documentation.
- Review patient accounts.
- Validate data.
- Prepare reports.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely collections and compliance with client requirements.
- Meet productivity and quality targets.
- Maintain professional communication and adhere to all applicable processes and guidelines.
Requirements & Tech Stack

- Maintaining accurate records in billing or AR management systems
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clear spoken English, active listening, and the ability to handle professional phone conversations with international clients.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret claim statuses, identify root causes of denials, and recommend or implement appropriate resolutions.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work, meet daily productivity goals, and adhere to process timelines and quality standards.
- Preferably prior experience in medical billing, RCM, AR calling, or a related healthcare finance process, or a strong interest in learning these domains.
- Ideally hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification; fresh graduates with strong communication skills and willingness to work in US healthcare processes are encouraged to apply.
- Flexible to work in shifts aligned with client time zones.
- Comfortable working in a structured, performance-driven on-site environment in Chennai.
