About the Role
The client is seeking a motivated Trainee Engineer to join their team in Chennai (Tiruvallur). This entry-level position is designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals with 0 to 2 years of experience. The role focuses on supporting machine shop operations, maintenance and repair activities, and learning the fundamentals of maintenance engineering within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation and upkeep of machine shop equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Support maintenance and repair tasks, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and routine inspections.
- Collaborate with senior maintenance engineers to learn and apply maintenance engineering principles and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment performance metrics.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
- Strong interest in machine shop operations, maintenance, and repair.
- Familiarity with basic maintenance engineering concepts and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
