About the Role

Apex Supply Partners LLC is expanding its supplier sourcing desk and seeks dependable, persistent individuals. This role offers practical procurement and supply chain experience with an active federal contracting firm, on an independent schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact Commercial Suppliers: Reach out to domestic manufacturers, distributors, and parts desks using provided purchasing assignments and contact lists.
  • Lock In Written Quotations: Obtain formal written price sheets covering wholesale dealer pricing, inventory availability, factory production lead times, and freight delivery terms.
  • Gather Compliance Documentation: Request specific supplier documentation as listed in your assignment (e.g., spec cut-sheets, Buy American / TAA origin statements, warranty terms).
  • Track Pipeline Activity: Follow up on pending requests and maintain accurate call notes and lead statuses in the tracking system.
  • Hand Off Quote Packages: Deliver verified, completed quote packages to executive management for final bid assembly and margin underwriting.

Work That Fits Your Availability

  • Self-Directed Hours: Start with assignments that take approximately 30 minutes a day, or take on more as your schedule permits.
  • US Business Hours: Calls take place during domestic supplier operating hours.
  • High-Follow-Through Mandate: Accepted assignments require consistent follow-through, attention to part numbers, and clear communication regarding bid closing deadlines.
  • Students, working professionals, and motivated applicants without prior government procurement experience are welcome.

What You Gain

  • Direct, hands-on experience in commercial supplier negotiations, wholesale pricing, and public-sector procurement mechanics.
  • Training and operational support.
  • A flexible, remote independent contractor role.
  • Uncapped commission opportunities.

Compensation

This is an independent contractor (1099) performance-only commission role with no base salary, hourly wage, or guaranteed compensation. Commissions are calculated as a percentage of Collected Net Realized Profit.

  • Commission Tiers: Starts at 5% of Apex’s Net Realized Profit on qualifying awarded contracts. A 10% tier is available for associates demonstrating consistent reliability, fast turnaround times, and independent execution on high-volume assignments.
  • Disbursement Trigger: 50% of commissions are disbursed within seven (7) business days after contract award, independent verification of supplier pricing/terms, and successful clearance of external contract funding.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Clear and professional communication in English.
  • Confidence making outbound phone inquiries to commercial sales reps.
  • Ability to accurately record details.
  • Dedicated computer.
  • Reliable high-speed internet.
  • Ability to place calls during standard US supplier business hours.

Qualifications

  • No formal degree or prior government contracting experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older with legal capacity to execute an independent contractor agreement.
