Key Responsibilities
- Capital Equipment
- Oversees projects on new equipment in Laser Department.
- Defines project in regards to timing and performance cost.
- Gives direction and approves revisions to project scope and/or timing.
- Evaluates project status.
- Interfaces/introduces projects to other management staff.
- Laser Optimization
- Defines project in regards to timing and performance cost.
- Gives direction and approval for revisions to project scrap and timing.
- Evaluates project status.
- Interfaces and introduces projects to other management staff.
- Responsible for Buyoff at tool shop of laser fixtures and programs.
- Completes SPC (Statistical Process Control) charts as needed.
- Continuous Improvement
- Provides direction to production technical support to improve production processes to reduce scrap or costs.
- Trains technicians and maintenance personnel on proper trouble shooting process.
- Eliminates quality spills from lasers.
- Reviews improvement project status.
- Keeps "up to date" on new technology available in the market and educates personnel on its use.
- Creates and proposes new ideas on making the plant more competitive in the market.

- Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment.
- Able and willing to work any shift assigned, weekends and overtime.
- Regular and predictable attendance required.
- Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.
- Responsible for reading and understanding the TS16949 and ISO-14001 procedures.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university; OR five years plus related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
