Junior Baker

About the Role

The Junior Baker role is a full-time, on-site position based in Navi Mumbai, working primarily at Manuka in CBD Belapur. The Junior Baker will assist in daily bread and pastry production, including mixing, shaping, baking, and finishing items such as breads, cookies, and desserts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily bread and pastry production.
• Mix, shape, bake, and finish items such as breads, cookies, and desserts.
• Follow recipes and production schedules.
• Prepare ingredients.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Support the team during service hours.
• Work closely with senior bakers and kitchen staff to ensure product quality, consistency, and timely output.
• May help with inventory checks.
• May assist with basic equipment care.
• May have occasional customer-facing interactions when needed.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Practical skills and interest in bakery operations.
• Foundational Baking abilities with exposure to bread and pastry techniques.
• Experience or training in Food Preparation, including measuring, mixing, and handling ingredients safely.
• Ability to prepare and handle Cookies and other small baked goods with attention to detail.
• Basic skills in Bread production, such as kneading, shaping, and baking, or a strong willingness to learn.
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety practices in a professional kitchen.
• Reliability in early-morning or flexible shift work.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to take feedback and grow under supervision.
• Prior experience in a bakery, café, or restaurant kitchen is an advantage but not mandatory.
