About Aurafé

Aurafé helps businesses and nonprofit organisations expand into new markets, grow their customer and supporter base, and build relationships that last. Through face-to-face acquisition and campaign work, our teams engage people directly, spark conversations, and help partners connect with communities. We believe in real connection, clear communication, and a team environment that moves with purpose. We're expanding our Landover-area team and looking for Event Specialists ready to build real-world communication, coordination, and leadership foundations.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role keeps you in motion. You’ll be the face of on-site activations, greeting attendees, sharing information, and making sure the event atmosphere stays sharp and inviting. Your day may include:

  • Talking with attendees and sharing campaign information naturally
  • Keeping the event space organised, clean, and visually appealing
  • Helping coordinate event flow as crowds shift
  • Taking notes, tracking daily activity details, and reporting observations
  • Working alongside team leads to maintain smooth event operations
  • Supporting newer teammates as you grow in skill and confidence

Every event has its own pace. You’ll learn how to adjust and stay effective no matter the environment.

Who You Are

  • Personable, positive, and approachable
  • Comfortable engaging with people face-to-face
  • Consistent with attendance and communication
  • Open to learning, adapting, and improving daily
  • Able to stay calm when things get busy
  • Comfortable being on your feet for most of the day
  • Available for occasional evening or weekend events

Experience is not required; we train you thoroughly.

What We Offer

  • A stable weekly income you can rely on
  • Real hands-on experience in fast-paced event environments
  • Guidance and coaching from team leads invested in your growth
  • Work that keeps you active and involved, not stuck behind a desk
  • Opportunities to take on more responsibility at your pace
  • A supportive, collaborative team atmosphere
  • Regular check-ins and development sessions to help you level up

Growth Path

As you build confidence and learn the structure of our event operations, you’ll have opportunities to contribute to coordination, logistics support, and eventually guiding newer team members. Growth is based on readiness and consistency, not titles or seniority.

Why It Works in the DC Area

You’ll meet people from across the Washington, DC metropolitan area, work in lively environments, and develop communication skills that translate into any career path you choose next.

Ready to Jump In?

If you want a role that’s active, people-focused, and built for growth, Aurafé wants to hear from you. Bring your energy; we’ll show you how to channel it!
