About the Role
Namaste Design is a premium interior design and turnkey execution company specializing in residential and commercial spaces. We are looking for passionate and creative Interior Design Interns who want to learn, contribute, and work on real projects alongside experienced professionals.
Employment Type: Full-Time Internship
Duration: 6 Months
Stipend: ₹7,000–₹15,000 per month
Location: Goregaon East, Mumbai (Hybrid/WFH)
Experience: Freshers / Final-Year Students / Recent Graduates
Key Responsibilities
- Interior Design & Space Planning
- Assist in creating functional and aesthetically appealing interior layouts.
- Develop floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, and basic working drawings.
- Support concept development, mood boards, and design presentations.
- Assist senior designers in developing residential and commercial interior concepts.
- 2D Drawings & 3D Visualization
- Prepare and modify drawings using AutoCAD.
- Create 3D models using SketchUp.
- Assist in developing realistic renders using V-Ray, Enscape, or similar software.
- Update designs based on client and senior designer feedback.
- Material Selection & Documentation
- Research materials, finishes, laminates, hardware, and furniture.
- Help prepare material boards and specifications.
- Assist with basic BOQs, measurements, and design documentation.
- Maintain organized project drawings and revision records.
- Site Visits & Project Coordination
- Accompany senior designers for site visits and measurements.
- Understand how drawings are translated into actual execution.
- Coordinate with the design and execution teams.
- Help document site progress and design changes.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Understanding of interior design, space planning, and furniture dimensions.
- Knowledge of V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion, or 3ds Max is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of materials, finishes, and color combinations.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Academic projects and personal portfolios are accepted.
- Candidates comfortable with client meetings and occasional site visits are preferred.
