Key Responsibilities

• Assist the team during new client pitch / new assignment with existing clients.
• Understand client requirements for advisory and compliance services.
• Assist in the preparation of draft proposals outlining the detailed scope of work.
• Assist the team in completing risk processes before initiating engagement.
• Assist the team in providing advisory services, including:
• Understanding the facts of the matter.
• Undertaking/reviewing research.
• Understanding tax implications.
• Discussing with senior team members.
• Liaising with clients and other team members.
• Preparing replies/opinions.
• Prepare/review tax computations and periodic GST returns.
• Ensure client timelines/statutory due dates for advisory or compliance services are met, and take responsibility for the same.
• Assist during VAT/Service Tax or GST Audits or Assessments, including:
• Review of documents.
• Liaising with clients and tax authorities.
• Submissions with relevant authorities.
• Assistance during document verification.
• Preparation and submission of replies with tax authorities.
• Ensuring timely closure of audits/assessments through regular follow-ups and representations.
• Assist the team during litigation matters, including:
• Understanding notices/orders.
• Understanding and discussing facts of the matter and contentions of the department.
• Undertaking/reviewing research.
• Drafting/reviewing replies/appeals.
• Liaising with tax authorities and clients.
• Timely submissions.
