Accountant

About the Role

The Accountant role at Nothing is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The individual in this role will handle day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, preparing and maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank and account statements. The Accountant will assist with month-end and year-end closing, support the preparation of financial reports, and help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in financial accounting, including experience with general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including use of formulas, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements applicable in India.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and documentation, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present financial information clearly.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality of financial data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in an on-site corporate environment, is highly beneficial.
