About the Role
The Machine Learning Intern will contribute to developing and improving data-driven features that enhance cricket coverage and fan engagement on Criclive.in. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Janakpuri.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting and cleaning match and user interaction data.
- Implementing and testing machine learning and deep learning models.
- Running statistical analyses to generate insights and predictions related to cricket performance and user behavior.
- Translating algorithms into practical tools, such as recommendation systems or predictive analytics for live commentary.
- Close collaboration with team members and active participation in brainstorming and experimentation.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong academic foundation in Computer Science and Algorithms.
- Working knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning, including model training, evaluation, and optimization.
- Solid understanding of Statistics for data analysis, hypothesis testing, and performance measurement.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in ML, such as Python.
- Familiarity with libraries/frameworks: NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Comfort with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and working with large or noisy datasets.
- Ability to interpret model outputs and communicate technical findings in clear, accessible language to non-technical team members.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Interest in cricket and sports analytics is highly beneficial.
- Prior work on personal or academic ML projects is a plus.
