About the Role
Medinex Workforce is hiring a Medical Coding Trainee / Intern for a 1 to 3-month full-time remote role. This position involves reviewing patient health records, understanding diagnostic and procedural information, and assigning standardized alphanumeric codes in compliance with healthcare coding guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review clinical documentation, physician notes, and laboratory reports for accurate interpretation.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and CPT/HCPCS procedure codes following official coding guidelines.
- Assist in identifying documentation discrepancies and support Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) workflows.
- Ensure strict compliance with healthcare confidentiality standards and patient data privacy guidelines.
- Maintain daily coding logs, accuracy trackers, and documentation records in Microsoft Excel.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Degree or diploma in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related healthcare disciplines (Freshers welcome).
- Solid understanding of Medical Terminology, Human Anatomy, and physiological processes.
- Formal training or certification coursework in Medical Coding (CPC / ICD-10 training is an advantage).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Dedicated laptop or desktop computer with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
Compensation & Details
- Stipend: ₹14,000 – ₹15,000 per month
- Duration: 1 to 3 Months
- Work Mode: Remote (India)
- Certificate: Internship completion certificate upon successful project delivery.
