Associate Development Program, March 2027

About the Role

First Citizens Bank offers a hybrid Associate Development Program (ADP) focused on developing entry-level associates for careers within the Commercial Bank and its Innovation Ecosystem. The program combines critical thinking, business and financial fundamentals, and hands-on experience supporting diverse clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing various aspects of client portfolio and relationships.
• Assess and monitor credit risk.
• Provide financial and credit analysis for innovative companies.
• Develop an understanding of industries, business models, products, and services driving the innovation economy.
• Collaborate with teams to complete meaningful work and gain exposure to different business areas.
• Develop foundational business, financial, and credit skills.
• Learn to develop and deliver bespoke financial solutions for participants in the innovation ecosystem.
• Receive dedicated mentorship and professional development.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience.
• Partnerships and Collaboration

• Critical thinking skills

Qualifications

• Earned a bachelor’s degree prior to March 15, 2027 (GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred).
• Received a passing grade in at least one finance, accounting, and/or economics college course.
• Interest in leveraging experience to explore further career opportunities at FCB.
• Ability to enjoy challenges and utilize strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
• Coachable and able to apply feedback.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability and strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex situations clearly.
• Team player who can lead, while also able to take ownership and work independently.
• Ready to relocate to one of our 30+ office locations upon successful completion of the program.
