The Opportunity

EY is looking for an Executive in Statutory Audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out operational, financial, process, and systems audits designed to review and appraise activities, systems, and controls.
• Identify accounting & auditing issues and discuss with the audit in-charge to solve arising issues.
• Carry out substantive testing of appliances in accordance with the audit plan, and appropriately document all work performed.
• Identify improvements to control systems and procedures.
• Present audit reports clearly, highlighting key audit recommendations to management.
• Prepare and maintain statutory books of accounts.
• Conduct audit and reconciliation of accounts receivable & payable.
• Finalize accounts.
• Assist seniors in reviewing and checking financial statements and preparing the audit report, management comment letter, and management representation letter.

Skills and Attributes For Success

• Experience handling statutory audit assignments.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 0-3 years of experience.
• People with the ability to work collaboratively to provide services across multiple client departments while adhering to commercial and legal requirements.
• A practical approach to solving issues and complex problems with the ability to deliver insightful and practical solutions.

• Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Comfort interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client).
