About the Role
A rapidly growing credit fund in NYC is looking to add a Finance Associate to its newly launched insurance platform. This role works closely with both the Controller and Head of Finance, and will own everything across accounting, finance, and operations for a rapidly growing business. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-growth environment and is excited to take ownership of critical deliverables while continuously improving processes and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the monthly/quarterly close for insurers and related investment vehicles
- Review investment positions, reinsurance settlements, operating expenses, capital activity, and cash movements
- Perform variance analysis of results against forecasted or historical information and develop clear explanations of performance drivers
- Calculate and review management fees, waterfalls, and other complex fund economics
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate, streamline, and enhance close, reporting, and data workflows
- Assist in the development and optimization of insurance accounting tools, templates, and controls
