Financial Business Analyst

About the Role

Multiple openings available in the New York area. These positions offer exposure to financial reporting, operational analysis, business intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced professional environments. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial, operational, and business performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for management and business partners.
• Support month-end reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Assist with invoice processing, payment tracking, vendor administration, and financial documentation.
• Create and maintain dashboards, spreadsheets, reports, and data visualizations.
• Perform data validation and quality control to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Partner with accounting, finance, operations, and leadership teams on strategic initiatives and special projects.
• Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets.
• ERP systems exposure such as SAP, Ariba, or Concur (preferred).
• Experience with reporting tools, business intelligence platforms, or data visualization software (preferred).
• Knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, or business metrics (preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Internship or prior experience in finance, accounting, analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or a related area is preferred but not required.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
