Business Analyst with Mortgage SME

About the Role

Serve as a senior functional analyst in the ISG organization translating complex business needs into scalable cloud enabled solutions using AWS and Azure within a hybrid work model. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, validate, and enhance digital products that improve operational efficiency, strengthen customer experience, and support sustainable business growth across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed functional requirements for cloud-enabled solutions using AWS and Azure, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategies and standards.
• Translate business requirements into well-structured functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development teams.
• Coordinate with architecture and engineering teams to define end-to-end solution designs leveraging AWS and Azure services.
• Review and validate technical design documents and configuration proposals to ensure they accurately implement defined functional requirements.
• Partner with product owners to prioritize feature backlogs, refine epics and stories, and plan releases.
• Develop detailed process flows, data mappings, and use case documentation.
• Create comprehensive functional test scenarios and support system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Analyze production incidents and defects to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and risk teams to ensure cloud-based solutions on AWS and Azure adhere to regulatory obligations.
• Conduct impact assessments for change requests, evaluating dependencies, risks, and benefits.
• Prepare and deliver functional documentation, training content, and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities by reviewing metrics, gathering feedback, and proposing enhancements.
• Coordinate across geographically distributed teams through hybrid work practices to maintain effective communication, transparency, and accountability.
• Ensure solutions support the company mission by enabling secure and sustainable digital services that improve customer and community experiences.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Extensive experience working as a functional analyst or business systems analyst with a focus on designing and implementing solutions on AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong practical experience with core AWS services and Azure services, including compute, storage, databases, networking, and monitoring capabilities.
• Proficiency in requirements engineering, including stakeholder analysis, process modeling, documentation of use cases, and definition of measurable acceptance criteria.
• Hands-on experience collaborating with agile delivery teams using practices such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and iterative releases.
• Solid understanding of integration patterns, APIs, and data flows across enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with cloud security and compliance considerations, including identity and access management, data protection, and environment segregation within AWS and Azure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional or equivalent cloud certification.
• Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent cloud certification.
