Growth Hacker Intern
Surgy Innovation Labs
About Surgy Innovation Labs
Surgy Health (Surgy Innovation Labs Pvt. Ltd.) builds AI-first software products for hospitals. Our suite — including SurgyCRM, SurgyLearn, SurgyScribe and SurgyFrontdesk — is used by hospital groups across India and the GCC. We are a small, product-led team: what you ship here is in the market within days.
The Role
You will own Surgy’s organic growth end to end: getting found on Google and cited by AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews), producing AI-assisted content across formats, and running our presence on the platforms where hospital leaders, healthtech buyers and builders spend their time. SEO and AEO are the core of the role — everything else feeds them. You will use AI heavily, Claude in particular. The job, though, is the judgement you layer on top: what to publish, what to cut, what is accurate, and which experiment to run next.
Key Responsibilities
SEO & AEO (core)
- Research keywords, search intent and buyer questions for hospital software across India, the GCC and other markets.
- Own on-page SEO for surgy.health: titles, meta, internal linking, schema markup, page speed and indexing via Google Search Console.
- Structure content so AI answer engines cite it: Q&A blocks, FAQs, comparison pages, consistent entity information and llms.txt.
- Track Surgy’s visibility in AI answers for priority queries (e.g. “AI-first hospital software”, “hospital CRM India”) and improve it month on month.
- Build backlinks and citations through listings, guest posts, PR mentions and community contributions.
Content & AI multimedia
- Write and publish blogs, product explainers, comparison pages and case-study drafts.
- Produce AI-generated images, carousels and short videos (reels, shorts, product snippets) for each channel.
- Help plan and produce a podcast or video series — guest research, scripts, editing, clips and show notes.
- Run the content calendar and repurpose each core piece into channel-native formats.
Social media & communities
- Manage Surgy’s handles on LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube and other channels — posting, engagement and reporting.
- Contribute genuinely on Reddit, Quora, Indie Hackers, Product Hunt and healthtech communities — useful answers and discussion, not spam.
- Draft founder-led content for the founders’ personal LinkedIn and X profiles.
Listings & directories
- Create and maintain company and product listings on software directories (G2, Capterra, SoftwareSuggest and similar), AI-tool directories, Product Hunt, Crunchbase, Google Business Profile and healthcare-IT marketplaces.
- Keep descriptions, screenshots, categories and reviews current and consistent everywhere.
Growth experiments & reporting
- Propose and run small, measurable growth experiments every week; drop what doesn’t work, scale what does.
- Report weekly on traffic, rankings, AI-answer visibility, audience growth, engagement and inbound leads.
How you’ll work with AI
- Advanced Claude usage. Projects loaded with brand and product context, reusable prompts and skills, research and analysis workflows, multi-step content pipelines — not one-off chat prompts.
- Multi-tool production. Combine Claude with image, video and audio generation tools to ship polished multimedia quickly.
- Human judgement at every step. Fact-check every claim, keep Surgy’s voice consistent, and decide what is worth publishing at all.
- Healthcare guardrails. No unverified clinical claims, no patient data, and no customer names or logos without approval.
- Reusable playbooks. Document the workflows that work so the team can run them without you.
Requirements & Tech Stack
Must-have
- Hands-on SEO experience (personal projects count) and a working understanding of AEO / generative engine optimisation.
- Strong written English — clear, specific, no fluff.
- Daily, advanced use of Claude and comfort with other AI tools. Be ready to show us your workflows.
- Experience creating AI-generated images and short videos.
- Working knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4 and at least one SEO tool (Ahrefs, Semrush, Ubersuggest or similar).
- An experimenter’s habit: form a hypothesis, test it, read the numbers, decide.
- Based in Delhi NCR, or able to attend in-person meetings there when required.
Nice to have
- A blog, newsletter, channel or social handle you have grown yourself.
- Interest in healthcare, healthtech or B2B SaaS.
- Basic HTML/CSS or CMS experience; comfort with no-code and automation tools.
- Podcast or video editing experience.
Qualifications
Success looks like:
- First 30 days: SEO and AEO audit of surgy.health; tracking set up (Search Console, GA4, AI-answer visibility tracker); core listings live; content calendar published.
- By 90 days: consistent weekly publishing across blog and social; measurable gains in organic traffic, AI-answer citations and inbound enquiries; a documented library of Claude workflows.
- By 6 months: a repeatable growth engine with clear channel-level metrics, and a plan for what you would own as a full-time hire.
Conversion to full-time
Strong performers will be offered a full-time role (e.g. Growth Marketing Associate — SEO/AEO) at the end of the internship. The decision rests on measurable results, ownership and the quality of your judgement — not on time served.
What you get
- Direct work with the founders on a live B2B healthtech product sold in India and the GCC.
- Real ownership: your work goes live, and you see its impact in the numbers.
- Access to the AI tools the role needs.
- Remote-first, flexible working.
- Internship certificate and letter of recommendation on completion.
