Junior Accountant

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Junior Accountant role based in New Delhi.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting operations.
• Record journal entries.
• Maintain ledgers.
• Reconcile bank and vendor accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare basic financial reports.
• Support GST and income tax workings.
• Help compile data for MCA and other statutory filings.
• Collaborate with senior team members to ensure accurate documentation, compliance with relevant regulations, and timely delivery of client assignments.
• Maintain organized records.
• Communicate with clients for data collection and clarifications.
• Contribute to process improvements in the finance and compliance workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational accounting skills, including knowledge of journal entries, ledger posting, bank reconciliation, and basic financial statements.
• Skills in tax and compliance support, such as GST and TDS workings, assistance with income tax filings, and familiarity with MCA and other regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting and office tools, including common accounting software (e.g., Tally or similar), spreadsheets, and document management tools.
• Analytical and organizational skills, including attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to work closely with senior accountants and clients.
• Relevant education such as a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Pursuing or having completed CA/CS/CMA or equivalent certifications will be an advantage.
• Prior internship or up to 2 years of experience in accounting, audit, or tax roles in professional services or corporate finance will be beneficial.
