About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop software that supports ground-based directed energy systems.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, technicians, and field support representatives to understand requirements and solve technical challenges.
• Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, code reviews, and other team activities.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using software engineering best practices.
• Test and debug software, investigate issues, and help improve reliability and performance.
• Learn the team's development tools and workflows while contributing to hands-on engineering projects.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Rust (experience with one or more programming languages).
• Git (preferred experience with software version control tools).
• Object-oriented design principles.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in: computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or software engineering.
• Major GPA greater than 3.0.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
• The desire to learn in a hands-on environment.
• Experience working in an agile environment.

Salary Range: $22.93 - $40.14
