Associate, Finance

About the Role

The Finance Associate (Accounts Receivable) performs daily tasks related to posting payments in the system against the correct customers. This role is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of processing invoices, invoice data entry, preparing daily status reports, and other day-to-day tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a positive team experience.
• Communicate effectively with US team members when issues arise.
• Provide proactive work status updates to the US/India liaison.
• Deliver service levels and SLA/KPI targets for the accounting function.
• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
• Research cash receipts, coding, and posting of receipts.
• Prepare daily bank deposits.
• Research and apply unallocated cash.
• Oversee matters related to cash application, overpayment, and deduction management (allowable & preventable).
• Ensure compliance with common AR processes.
• Strictly adhere to outlined processes.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Utilizes computerized accounting software programs, including Tempus, Workday, Excel, and Word.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.

Qualifications

• B.Com/M.Com and MBA – Finance.
• 0-3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Standard indoor working environment.
• Long periods of sitting while working at a computer.
• Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm.
• 50+ hour standard workweek requirement.
