About the Role
Kik Butt Entertainment is seeking an Assistant Video Editor for a full-time, on-site position in Mumbai. This role supports lead editors in organizing footage, syncing audio, preparing project timelines, and executing various editing tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize footage and manage media files.
- Sync audio with video.
- Prepare project timelines in editing software.
- Assist with rough cuts, basic trims, and assembly edits.
- Assist with transitions under guidance.
- Assist with color adjustments under guidance.
- Assist with simple motion graphics under guidance.
- Maintain project backups.
- Ensure assets are clearly labeled and accessible.
- Collaborate with directors, editors, and producers to implement feedback.
- Refine visual storytelling.
- Meet delivery deadlines for film and brand projects.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Skills in Video Editing and Video Production for assembling footage and supporting end-to-end post-production workflows.
- Skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create basic titles, lower-thirds, and simple visual elements.
- Proficiency with DaVinci Resolve.
- Familiarity with file formats and codecs.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to follow creative direction and constructive feedback.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Mumbai.
- Adaptability to fast-paced production schedules.
Qualifications
- Relevant coursework or a diploma in film, media, or related fields.
- Prior internship or project experience in video editing is an advantage.
