About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented SEO Intern to join our growing digital marketing business in Serampore, West Bengal. This paid internship is suitable for freshers who want practical experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Local SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, website optimization, keyword research, backlink building, and content planning. You will work on real SEO projects, learn industry-relevant techniques, and gain practical exposure to improving organic search visibility and website performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Local SEO and Google Business Profile
• Assist with Google Business Profile optimization and local search visibility.
• Conduct local keyword research and competitor analysis.
• Research topics for business profile updates and local landing pages.
• Assist with business citations and directory listings.
• Monitor local rankings and profile performance.
• Website SEO
• Assist with on-page optimization, including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, and internal linking.
• Conduct keyword research and identify relevant search opportunities.
• Help identify basic technical and on-page SEO issues.
• Support website content optimization and SEO audits.
• Monitor website performance using Google Search Console and other SEO tools.
• Backlink Building and Off-Page SEO
• Research relevant websites for potential backlink opportunities.
• Assist with outreach, link building, and business listings.
• Analyze competitor backlink profiles.
• Maintain backlink records and review link quality.
• Content Research and Planning
• Research blog topics and SEO content opportunities.
• Prepare content calendars based on keyword research.
• Identify competitor content gaps and search intent.
• Suggest topics for websites and Google Business Profile updates.
• Reporting and Analysis
• Track keyword rankings and organic search performance.
• Assist with weekly and monthly SEO reports.
• Research search engine updates and SEO best practices.

Qualifications

• Freshers are welcome to apply.
• A basic understanding of SEO or digital marketing is an advantage.
• Interest in Local SEO, website optimization, and keyword research.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Google Sheets or Excel.
• Good research, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and complete assigned tasks responsibly.
• Ability to commute to our Serampore office for on-site work.
