Mechanical Design Engineer (Innovation)

About the Role

The Product Innovation team, comprising engineers and scientists, focuses on building a better product and is heavily involved with the research and development of core technology principles. This role is for individuals who value critical thinking, problem-solving, curiosity, and enjoy high-agency work and challenging themselves.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in researching emerging ideas, technologies, and gaps in science.
• Support brainstorming sessions, idea validation, and concept development.
• Contribute to prototyping efforts, both theoretical and physical (low- or high-fidelity).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and biology.
• Conduct experimental analysis and provide decisive results to guide product direction.
• Prepare clear, concise presentations to communicate ideas and findings.
• Document project progress, testing results, and key learnings.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• CAD design: Strong grasp required, with Solidworks and/or Fusion360 preferred.
• Working knowledge of Electronics.
• Working knowledge of Microbiology.
• Working knowledge of Chemistry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Note: Candidates with less than one year of experience may be offered an internship, with potential for a full-time role upon satisfactory performance. Candidates with over one year of experience will be considered directly for a full-time role, subject to a probation period.
