About the Role
A WordPress Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites using the WordPress content management system.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Installing and configuring WordPress on web servers.
- Customizing existing WordPress themes and plugins.
- Building and maintaining custom WordPress-based solutions, such as e-commerce sites, membership sites, and custom post types.
- Optimizing the performance and scalability of WordPress-based websites.
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues related to WordPress-based websites.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure websites are delivered on time and on budget.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest WordPress development best practices and trends.
- Knowledge about SEO for pages.
- Continuously learning new technologies, frameworks and tools.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong knowledge of WordPress.
- Experience with WordPress and building custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Experience with responsive web design.
- Experience with other web technologies and frameworks.
- Understanding of SEO and web performance optimization.
- Understanding of web hosting and server management.
- Knowledge of HTML and PHP.
Qualifications
- Experience building responsive websites.
- Knowledge of web development best practices and standards.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Well-organized and able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues quickly and efficiently.
