About the Role
The Billing Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. This role focuses on preparing and verifying bills for construction projects, ensuring accurate measurement, documentation, and certification of work done as per contracts and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing drawings.
- Conducting quantity take-offs.
- Preparing BOQs.
- Performing rate analysis.
- Coordinating with site engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve billing-related queries.
- Maintaining updated billing records.
- Supporting cost control and project progress reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and contractual terms.
- Assisting in preparing estimates.
- Supporting audits.
- Contributing to efficient cash flow and project financial management.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong foundation in quantity surveying and BOQ preparation.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
- Hands-on experience with billing systems and processes, including contractor billing, client billing, and certification of executed work.
- Proficiency in rate analysis and cost estimation.
- Sound analytical skills for comparing bids, materials, and labor costs.
- Knowledge of civil engineering standards, construction methodologies, and project documentation relevant to infrastructure and building projects.
- Ability to work on-site in coordination with project teams.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant construction/billing software.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools is an advantage.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and support multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
