Custodian

About the Role

The Custodian at the Walmart Distribution Center in Lancaster, TX is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility. This full-time, on-site role includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting common areas, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and warehouse spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Handles trash removal and recycling.
• Performs basic upkeep of floors, walls, and surfaces.
• May assist with minor cleaning-related tasks for equipment and loading areas.
• Restocks cleaning and hygiene supplies.
• Uses cleaning tools and chemicals according to safety guidelines.
• Promptly reports maintenance or safety issues.
• Collaborates with supervisors and team members.
• Follows established procedures.
• Supports a clean environment that helps keep operations running smoothly.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• General cleaning and custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom sanitation.
• Ability to safely use cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals, following all safety, health, and environmental guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliability.
• Ability to follow established procedures and schedules.
• Capacity to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, walking, lifting moderate weights, and working in a warehouse environment.
• Basic communication skills to work with supervisors and team members, and to report issues clearly and promptly.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site in Lancaster, TX, with flexibility for different shifts or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior custodial, janitorial, or warehouse experience is a plus.
