About the Role
Proofreading Intern at Wealthaxis Advisory.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing copy for errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling, while checking for readability, style, and agreement with editorial policy.
- Developing story and content ideas.
- Working closely with writers and mentors.
- Suggesting revisions such as changing words, rearranging sentences, and modifying content layouts and paragraphs to improve clarity or accuracy.
- Researching, confirming sources for writers, and verifying facts, dates, and statistics.
- Rewriting or editing copy to make it easier for readers to understand.
- Proofreading 20,000-40,000 words of articles/content daily.
- Brainstorming on new ideas.
- Reporting to the mentor/manager.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in English language and grammar.
- Excellent skill in spotting errors.
- Understanding of proofreading.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English or Journalism.
