Electrical Design Engineer TPS, DC

About the Role

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer TPS - DC to join our team. This role is based in Pune.

Key Responsibilities

• Design responsibility for complete DC Traction Power Supply (TPS) Equipment within a project with reference to ANSI/IEEE Standards.
• Preliminary and detail design of DC Traction Power Supply (TPS) substations for electrical railway systems.
• Preparation of detailed electrical engineering drawings of electrical systems and components including SLD, general arrangement drawings and overviews, bill of materials, etc.
• Technical design interface between sub-systems of all DC Traction Power Supply Equipment within the substation.
• Review and release of complete DC substation design in each project phase.
• Technical management, planning, and controlling of own engineering work package.
• Interaction with sales departments and project management during both the bid phase and the project realization phase.
• Technical clarifications with sub-suppliers abroad.
• Technical support of manufacturing and commissioning engineers concerning analysis of technical problems and answering technical inquiries.
• Participation in technical liaison meetings with customers, suppliers, and Siemens’ internal departments overseas.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience with ANSI/IEEE Standards.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed electrical engineering drawings, including SLD, general arrangement drawings, and overviews.
• Experience in creating bill of materials.
