Brand Development & Management (Unpaid Internship)

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, organized, and ambitious Founder’s Office Intern to work directly with the Founder and support the growth and operations of a deep-tech startup at IIT Bombay (IITB). This role offers hands-on exposure to startup building, business operations, marketing, talent acquisition, team coordination, business development, and strategic execution. You will help translate business objectives into actionable plans, coordinate creative and technical teams, manage recruitment activities, and drive key initiatives that contribute to the startup’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Founder’s Office & Business Operations

• Work directly with the Founder on strategic initiatives and day-to-day business operations.

• Translate business ideas into actionable plans, tasks, and execution roadmaps.

• Track priorities, deadlines, milestones, and project deliverables.

• Coordinate with team members and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.

• Prepare presentations, progress reports, business documents, and internal updates.

• Conduct market research and provide insights to support business decisions.

• Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

• Manage recruitment activities for Graphic Designers, Web Developers, and other relevant roles.

• Draft job descriptions and publish internship and freelance opportunities.

• Source, screen, and shortlist suitable candidates.

• Conduct initial candidate assessments and coordinate interviews with the Founder.

• Maintain recruitment trackers, candidate databases, and hiring pipelines.

• Coordinate onboarding, task allocation, and initial follow-ups for selected candidates.

• Team & Project Management

• Coordinate the activities of Graphic Designers, Web Developers, and other team members.

• Develop weekly work plans, assign tasks, and monitor deadlines.

• Track project progress and follow up on pending deliverables.

• Identify execution bottlenecks and coordinate with relevant team members to resolve them.

• Maintain project trackers, task management tools, and progress reports.

• Coordinate website development, branding, and marketing projects from planning to execution.

• Marketing & Business Growth

• Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies and growth initiatives.

• Prepare content calendars and coordinate marketing campaigns.

• Manage and coordinate LinkedIn and other social media activities.

• Conduct competitor analysis, industry research, and market assessments.

• Support lead generation, business outreach, and business development activities.

• Identify potential marketing channels, collaborations, and partnership opportunities.

• Track marketing performance and prepare reports with actionable insights.

• Willing to learn, adapt, and work in a dynamic startup environment.
• Prior experience in student organizations, startup initiatives, marketing, recruitment, or project coordination is an advantage, but a strong willingness to learn and execute is equally valued.
• Preferred backgrounds: BBA, BMS, MBA, engineering, management, or other relevant disciplines.
