- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team.
- Willingness to learn new software, engineering methodologies, and building-performance concepts.
Nice to Have
- Academic exposure to energy modelling or building simulation.
- Knowledge of IESVE or another building-performance simulation platform.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and building-services design.
- Understanding of sustainability, net-zero, or building energy-efficiency concepts.
- Exposure to BIM/CAD workflows.
- Previous internship, university project, or dissertation related to buildings, HVAC, energy, or sustainability.
What Graduates will develop
During the program, graduates should progressively build capability in:
- Building energy modelling
- HVAC loads and systems analysis
- Thermal comfort and environmental performance
- Energy-efficiency and decarbonisation analysis
- Building regulations and compliance modelling
- Technical QA/QC
- Report writing and presentation
- Client and stakeholder communication
- Project delivery and time management
The role aims to provide a structured pathway towards independent building-performance consultancy and project responsibilities, focusing on developing a strong foundation in building physics, HVAC, sustainability, and project delivery, alongside learning software.
