Financial Data Analyst, Entry Level

Key Responsibilities

• Validate, update, and maintain financial data with a high level of accuracy.
• Perform quality control checks and identify discrepancies in financial information.
• Research and resolve data, calculation, and formula discrepancies.
• Use Excel to organize, analyze, and report financial information.
• Review company filings, financial statements, corporate events, and other financial data.
• Support ongoing financial data and reporting projects.
• Manage high-volume and repetitive data tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Adapt to changing priorities and time-sensitive workloads.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and business partners in both English and Japanese.
• Maintain organized documentation and follow established data-quality procedures.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Fluency in both Japanese and English is required.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.
• Working knowledge of financial statements and basic financial analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to analyze information, identify discrepancies, and solve problems.
• Ability to manage repetitive, detail-oriented work while maintaining consistent productivity and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage competing priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
