About the Role
The Article Trainee will support audit, accounting, and taxation assignments under the supervision of senior professionals in the Mumbai office. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with bookkeeping.
- Preparation of financial statements.
- Preparing working papers for audits.
- Performing basic tax computations and filings.
- Supporting compliance activities and documentation.
- Learning to apply relevant accounting and tax standards in client engagements.
- Participating in training sessions, research tasks, and client coordination as required.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or intending to pursue Chartered Accountancy (CA) or a related professional qualification.
- Graduation or ongoing studies in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic auditing concepts.
- Interest in taxation, compliance, and learning direct and indirect tax regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and general office productivity tools; familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
- Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and professional conduct in client-facing situations.
- Ability to work diligently in a structured environment, manage timelines, and collaborate within a team.
