Software Engineer Intern

About the Role

Wayfair is transforming e-commerce through an AI-First approach, leveraging Generative AI and machine learning across its ecosystem. We are seeking Software Engineer Interns to join teams focusing on areas like Search & Recommendations, Storefront, Supply Chain, Marketing Technology, ML Platforms, and Global Supplier Tech. This role involves building scalable, future-ready solutions that directly impact our business and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop applications, web services, and data systems.
• Leverage Generative AI and machine learning to enhance customer experience.
• Drive intelligent discovery and personalized shopping journeys.
• Integrate GenAI tools and workflows throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, code generation, automated testing, and deployment.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Exposure to or experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and languages like Python, Java, or C++.
• Familiarity with full-stack, mobile, or cloud development.
• Familiarity with web technologies including SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Python.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in the 7th semester of a full-time B.E./B.Tech program in Computer Science.
• Availability for an internship during the 8th semester.
• Strong academic track record.
• Passion for emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and software engineering.
• Enthusiasm for leveraging GenAI tools.
• Strong autonomy, problem-solving ability, ownership mindset, and excellent communication skills.
