Social Media Marketing Intern

About the Role

Optiminastic is an 8-year-old, tech-driven marketing and advertising company focused on helping brands grow smarter through strategy, creativity, performance marketing, media, data, automation, AI, and technology. We build systems, processes, and proprietary tools to enhance planning, tracking, reporting, audience insights, automation, and media efficiency. We are seeking a Social Media Intern with a genuine interest in social media, content creation, and the digital world. This role offers hands-on experience in content creation, working with brands, participating in shoots, and learning the mechanics of social media.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, plan, and schedule engaging social media content.
• Research trends, viral formats, trending audio, and platform updates.
• Assist with content ideation, scripting, and campaign planning.
• Participate in content shoots and appear in videos as needed.
• Assist with photography and basic video production.
• Engage with online communities through comments, DMs, and social interactions.
• Collaborate with designers, video editors, and marketing teams to ensure timely content delivery.
• Monitor social media content and identify opportunities for engagement improvement.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mass Media, Journalism, Advertising, PR, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Passionate about social media, digital culture, and content creation.
• Strong command of English and Hindi (written and verbal).
• Good understanding of Instagram, Reels, trends, virality, and social media algorithms.
• Comfortable being in front of or behind the camera for video content creation.
• Basic understanding of photography and comfort with handling cameras, lights, and other content equipment.
• Actively posts on social media and understands engaging content principles.
• Experience participating in college clubs, committees, president's clubs, events, or similar activities.
