Backend Developer

About the Role

Saatvik Agro is seeking a Java - Backend Developer for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve backend applications, APIs, databases, internal platforms, automation solutions, enterprise systems, and digital services.
• Work closely with software, IT, data, analytics, operations, production, supply chain, finance, sales, and other business teams.

• Microservices architecture (exposure beneficial)

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Basic to good knowledge of Core Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, collections, exception handling, interfaces, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction, multithreading, concurrency, and clean coding practices.
• Basic to good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, web services, authentication, authorization, API integration, and system integration.
• Understanding of database design, joins, normalization, indexing, transactions, schemas, CRUD operations, query optimization, and data-access concepts.
• Familiarity with version control, branching, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
• Exposure to unit testing, integration testing, API testing, or automated testing.
• Familiarity with messaging systems, caching, or event-driven architecture.
• Exposure to cloud and DevOps technologies.
• Basic understanding of application deployment, configuration management, logging, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with secure coding, input validation, and authentication concepts.
• Exposure to application performance optimization, database tuning, and scalability.
• Familiarity with ORM technologies and backend data-access patterns.
• Good analytical, logical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, documentation, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into reliable, maintainable, scalable, and secure Java backend solutions.
• Willingness to work in an on-site environment.
• Strong willingness to learn new technologies and practices.
• Internship, academic project, GitHub project, hackathon, freelance assignment, startup project, or open-source contribution will be considered but is not mandatory.
