About the Role

NextGenApply.AI is seeking a Video Editor Intern to create engaging videos for social media platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn. This role offers hands-on experience in transforming raw footage and content ideas into compelling social media content.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short videos, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Add captions, music, sound effects, transitions, and basic animations.
• Transform raw footage into engaging, publish-ready videos.
• Create videos on topics including AI tools, job search, resumes, interviews, and career growth.
• Collaborate with the content team to understand video concepts and specifications.
• Implement changes to videos based on feedback.
• Stay updated on social media trends and experiment with new editing styles.
• Resize and adapt videos for various platforms.
• Organize video files and ensure timely project completion.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic knowledge of video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.
• Interest in creating short-form video content for social media.
• Basic understanding of cuts, transitions, captions, and audio syncing.
• Creativity and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and improve.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Personal laptop and reliable internet connection.
• Willingness to work the night shift, if required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience editing Reels, Shorts, or other social media videos.
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics, color correction, or sound design.
• Familiarity with Canva or AI-powered editing tools.
• Understanding of current social media trends.
• Previous editing projects or a portfolio.
