Laundry Operator

About the Role

The Hoxton, Bengaluru City is opening its first neighbourhood hotel in Asia and is seeking a charismatic & experienced Laundry Operator. This role will be instrumental in bringing The Hoxton's renowned guest experience to India.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate washing, drying, ironing, and finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Wash, dry, press, and fold hotel linen, guest laundry, and Heartist uniforms to the highest quality standards.
• Sort laundry according to fabric type, colour, and washing instructions.
• Inspect linen, uniforms, and guest garments for stains, damage, or repairs before and after processing.
• Ensure guest laundry is handled with care, delivered accurately, and on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, equipment, and workstations.
• Report any equipment faults, linen shortages, or maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow hotel procedures for handling laundry chemicals and operating equipment safely.
• Support linen inventory and assist in maintaining stock levels.
• Work closely with the Housekeeping team to ensure a continuous supply of clean linen.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial or hotel laundry operation is preferred.
• Knowledge of laundry equipment, fabric care, and stain removal techniques is an advantage.
• A keen eye for detail with a commitment to quality and cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences.
• Ability to be yourself, leave egos at the door, and help get things done.
• Willingness to try new approaches and work collaboratively.
